Contracted to FEMA as a Quality Assurance Specialist to review FEMA Project Worksheets for quality, accuracy and completeness. Projects included debris removal, emergency protective measures, building and equipment damage, roadway damage, utility damage, facility damage and damage to parks and trails. Projects were located in Georgia from Hurricane Irma, projects in Texas from Hurricane Harvey and flood damage in Iowa and Nebraska.

GUNDA CORPORATION, HOUSTON, TEXAS (2014 to 2017) (SENIOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER)  Senior Project Construction Manager for Upper Kirby Redevelopment Authority roadway re-construction project on Westheimer Road from Kirby to Shepard ($7,390,747.00) and Bissonnet Utilities from Buffalo Speedway to Kirby Street ($4,858,143.00). Senior Project Construction Manager for Upper Kirby Redevelopment Authority for Levy Park Improvements ($14,649,956.00) and Bissonnet Street Roadway Reconstruction from Buffalo Speedway to Kirby Drive ($8,643,187.00). CDM SMITH, NEWARK, NEW JERSEY (2012 – 2013) (FEMA PROJECT SPECIALIST)

Contracted to FEMA as a Senior Disaster Assistance Engineer to provide disaster recovery assistance to the State of New Jersey. Provided engineering support for the repair and replacement of damaged electrical, mechanical and structural building elements as a member of a Building Assessment Team. The damaged facilities were schools and municipal buildings in Monmouth County.



AECOM, NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA (2011 - 2012) (FEMA PROJECT SPECIALIST)
Contracted to FEMA to provide disaster recovery assistance to the State of Louisiana. Assembled FEMA Project Worksheets that verified and documented Hurricane Katrina damage. Prepared  the damage description,  scope of work and construction cost estimate to return the damaged infrastructure back to its original condition as per the completed constuction drawings, specifications and contracts. The damaged facilities were schools in Jefferson Parish Louisiana.  
  

CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS, CHANNELVIEW, TEXAS (2010 - 2011) (RESEARCH CIVIL ENGINEER) Contracted to Lyondell Industries Specialty Engineering Group to research methods to repair underground sewers in petrochemical environments using trenchless technologies. Assisted Project Managers by recommending civil/structural repairs to damaged refining infrastructure. Served as Project Manager for the Company’s Underground Leak Prevention Program. Provided oversight and project management for the repair of 565 linear feet of 12” and 18” combination sewer line using flood grouting technology at Lyondell’s Corpus Christi Refining Plant.    

 

PIERCE, GOODWIN, ALEXANDER, LINVILLE, INC., HOUSTON, TEXAS (2007 – 2010) (CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER/PROJECT COORDINATOR/DESIGN MANAGER)  Construction Project Manager for two air rescue fire fighting stations at the Houston Intercontinental Airport.  Project Coordinator for the preliminary design of 35 replacement roadway/pipeline bridges across Brays Bayou for the Harris County Flood Control District and the City of Houston. Design Manager for several roadway/utility reconstruction projects for the City of Houston’s Street and Bridge Department.

 

OMEGA ENGINEERS, INC., HOUSTON, TEXAS (2004 – 2007) (CONSTRUCTION MANAGER)

Construction Manager for the Metropolitan Transit Authority for roadway and transit amenity projects and also for Metro’s Downtown/Midtown Transit Streets Project. Projects consisted of new bridges, roadway reconstruction, new underground utilities and landscaping. Ensured contract compliance with construction drawings and specifications, authorized payment for completed work and prepared contract change orders.

   

GSW OTHON, INC., HOUSTON, TEXAS (2001 – 2004) (RESIDENT ENGINEER)

Resident Engineer for the Greater Houston Wastewater Program. Ensured construction contract compliance and provided oversight for eighteen wastewater construction projects that included new lift stations, pipeline rehabilitation and new sewer line construction. Managed project documentation, supervised Construction Inspectors and provided technical and engineering feedback to design teams.

 LOCKWOOD, ANDREWS & NEWNAM, INC., HOUSTON, TEXAS (1991 – 2001) (DESIGN ENGINEER/RESIDENT ENGINEER) Design Engineer Team Member that designed approximately two miles of 90” and 84” water transmission line along Federal Road and Market Street for the City of Houston’s Surface Water Transmission Program. Also served as Resident Engineer for ten City of Houston large diameter surface water transmission projects. Water projects included water plant connections, tunnels, open cut pipe installation and new roadway pavement. Maintained construction financial accounting, resolved construction disputes, evaluated construction claims and mitigated construction cost over-runs.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University.
